This Sunday the 16th of March the Wingless Sprint brigade have nominated in large numbers to compete at Drouin Speedway with over 24 cars at this stage set to make an appearance dependent on results the night prior at Nyora Raceway. Along with the Wingless Sprints Drouin will hold round two of the Standard Saloon track championship and the final round of the VSC Sedans track championship currently led by club member Joel Andrews from West Gippsland.
The Wingless Sprints not only will be running for the great money and prizes on offer by Victory Lane Racegear confirmation has been received that the event will also be the Drysdale Chaff Mills Wingless $500 meaning that the driver who wins the race gets $500 from the prize pool and $500 of the Drouin Speedway Club!
Included in the field are former Drysdale Chaff Mills Wingless $500 winners Leongatha racer Dayn Bentvelzen and Brad Warren from Pakenham. There is more than a dozen drivers that could potentially win this event with to name a few Luke Cole, Gary Bowden from Bairnsdale, Brett Neylan, Scott Drew, Ross Jarred from Mirboo North, Mark Laity & Peter Laity from Bairnsdale, Peter Logue from Morwell, Wayne Hurford from Bass & Brad Foster amongst those.
In the Standard Saloon track championship round the Vuillermin lads Patrick & Jacob return to do battle at the top of the points table with club members Victor Benson from Nar Nar Goon, Leigh Gooding & the top lady racer in Standard Saloons Anne Gooding amongst the challengers along with Travis Evans and Mark Miles.
In the VSC Sedan track championship final round Andrews will be up against stiff competition however has a good lead coming into the final round. Jaedn & Wayne Alberni are looking to put the pressure on whilst Russell Hill returns to racing in his Monaro Open Sedan.
At this stage both divisions of Junior Sedans are programmed dependent on nominations received.

Gates open at 8.30am with entry at $15 for Adults, a family ticket is $40 for two adults & 2 kids, kids aged 12 – 16 enter at $10 as do aged & invalid pensioners. Any child under the age of 12 are free
