Drouin Speedway revs up for action once again this coming Sunday the 9th of November with all club classes in action & three big feature events for fans to enjoy including the \u2018Gold Cup\u2019 series for Mini Sprints, round one of the track championship for Unlimited Sedans & the annual \u2018Latrobe Valley Waste\u2019 Eliminator Cup for Standard Saloons.
\nLadies & Junior Sedans also get behind the wheel on race day giving something for everybody to follow.<\/p>\n
The Mini Sprints recently announced a national alliance that includes the states of Queensland, Tasmania & New South Wales & whilst that still has a way to go to be finalised, a number of new drivers are making the switch into Mini Sprints.<\/p>\n
Dave May who competed at the June event at Drouin finishing second comes back again & this time his long time crewman Brad Lowe returns behind the wheel of his own race car. Youngsters and former Speedway Kart competitors Luke Hickson & Will Van der Ark along with former Junior Quarter Midget racer Kyle Stathopoulos all join the Mini Sprints having their first race meeting as a driver.<\/p>\n
Kevin Bomford, Darren Schnoor, Owen Bulman & Jason Lynn will be trying to beat to the line the new breed in the first round of the division\u2019s state wide series.<\/p>\n
Eliminator Cup entries include last start feature winner Dale Morrison, club Standard Saloon champion Leigh Gooding, youngster Brad Hill who finished second at the last meeting, Mark Miles, Jeff Blencowe & Travis Evans amongst the potential the best from Drouin’s club & Chris & Shane Stewart to of the best Victoria has in the division. Morrison, Gooding & Miles have all been feature race winners at Drouin in the last couple of seasons.<\/p>\n
The Junior Standard Saloon kids have another opportunity to settle into Drouin Speedway before the Victorian title later into the season.<\/p>\n

Gates open at 8.30am racing from 11am with entry at $15 for Adults, a family ticket is $40 for two adults & 2 kids, kids aged 12 \u2013 16 enter at $10 as do aged & invalid pensioners. Any child under the age of 12 is free<\/p>\n
