MOULDEN & YOUNG WIN BIG DROUIN SPEEDWAY RACES

Drouin Speedway’s ‘McGrath Foundation’ awareness & support race day headlined by the ‘Intercity Signs’ Ladies of the Dirt Wingless Sprint Challenge whom were also supporting the foundation, had its thrills and spills whilst Jessica Moulden took out the big win & Donald Young did the same in the state Junior Standard Saloon series round supported by ‘Bob Jane T Marts Traralgon’.

The Ladies Wingless racing included some unfortunate rollovers, with the biggest to Skye Day a local South East Melbourne racer who went over approximately four times & then required hospital treatment with another rollover later to Shona Bent a Gippsland lass.

Moulden who not only is one of the best Lady racers, she is also one of the best Speedway racers in Australia full stop, went on to take victory from Samantha Millar, Sandie Hickman, Morwell racer Te-arni Perkins & Pakenham’s Renae Eastham.

The Junior Standard Saloon series was hotly contested with victory going the way of Langwarrin’s state # 3 ranked driver Donald Young taking the win over Ty Hutton, Drouin member Ally Morrison, Michael Hardy from Rosedale & Matthew Bowers from Bairnsdale.

The ‘Open’ Wingless competition which allowed the guys a run & women to run against them, finished in victory to Travis Millar giving Team Millar sister & brother a great day’s results with two podiums, whilst Cranbourne’s Warrick Taylor finished second ahead of Wayne Hurford, Jack Day & Adin Robertson.

Pakenham’s Mark Miles continued his very strong form this season at Drouin taking another Standard Saloon feature race win this time ahead of Jake Blencowe, Travis Evans, Will Van der Ark & Jeff Blencowe & in the Ladies Standard Saloon’s Tegan Bullard driving Miles car won ahead of Amanda Burrows picking up her second podium result at the venue in succession ahead of Bridgette Morgan, Vanessa Coleman & Anne Gooding.

Finally completing the results the Open VSC Sedans victory went the way of Mick Evans from Nar Nar Goon ‘s Jaedn Alberni & third placed Wayne Alberni then Michael Suckling & Eric Miles.
